A Slate Reveal, Reimagined as Discovery.

How do you make a 2026 slate announcement feel personal and memorable at global scale? You invite fans into the experience and ask a simple question: What Next?

For the 2026 slate, we anchored the campaign in the mindset of a new year: curiosity, intention-setting, and the pull of the unknown. We built an integrated concept that acted like a portal into the Netflix universe, using tarot as a familiar framework for discovery, then translated it into a scalable design system across assets and channels.

Tarot as a vehicle of discovery.

We approached the campaign as a portal into the Netflix universe, using the visual language of tarot to invite discovery. We partnered with illustrator Maria Jesús Contreras, who created 50 hand-drawn illustrations for a set of bespoke Netflix-branded tarot cards, each reinterpreting one of the platform’s most anticipated titles. We then transformed her artwork into a custom tarot system, treating every card as its own arcana and layering title-specific motifs with traditional tarot symbolism to build a cohesive visual language. The system ultimately became a physical tarot box, turning the campaign into something fans could actually hold.

A global integrated system.

To bring the system to life at global scale, we translated the static card world into a robust motion and design language built for adaptation. The toolkit was designed to integrate across the full campaign ecosystem and deploy consistently in 30+ languages and hundreds of formats, from physical influencer kits to large-scale 3D anamorphic OOH in NYC and LA. Each execution reinforced the act of discovery through custom headline and card pairings, teasing unexpected connections and unlikely combinations across the slate.

Bringing discovery to the fans IRL

To extend What Next? into a real-world discovery moment, we brought the campaign to Grand Central Terminal in NYC with an immersive, all-ages installation in Vanderbilt Hall. The centerpiece was a cinema-grade animatronic, AI-powered fortune-teller featuring Teyana Taylor, turning the slate reveal into bespoke tarot readings fans could experience live. As the campaign rolled out globally across screens and billboards, the booth made the core idea tangible: discover your future, then discover what’s next on Netflix. Teyana also appeared in person, amplifying the moment and driving cultural heat.
